TV all evening: UK Top Gear on NOW
Just scrolling through the channels and on the Discovery Channel Top Gear is on.....and it's on all evening (Thurs 9th).

Yeah - just sat through the marathon but bit disappointed for following reasons: old episodes, bits of episodes thrown together to make it suitable for US audience, (conkers with caravans - Clarkson's original comments were so funny but completely edited out for US version!), the celeb fastest round the track were largely cut, the news ,sitting round slagging of govt cut! 
In fact most of the best bits.
I saw all the last year episodes in UK, but hey at least it's on

It was on every Thursday before Christmas - it is a specially edited version with the studio bits redone for the yank audience. They are making a US version based on the top gear format which is testing soon i understand

I was a bit pissed off about how much terminology had been changed. He was saying "trunk" and listing more cars using $'s than pounds! It might of been changed, although it sounded very clarkson
. Generally annoyed me that they changed it so much to suit a US audience. I mean c'mon, its really NOT that hard to remember bonnet means hood and boot means trunk.. don't see why it should be changed.On a good note, it was good to see my favorite show on for a decent few hours! Can't watch TV for more than 2 hours.. if I see another jeweler's advert I think I might have to slap someone.

Sunday nights UK top Gear special (bbc 2 8pm) will be on finalgear.com by tuesday. Its a winter olympics of cars!!!
They ski jump a mini, race the new jag on ice againts a speed skater etc etc...

I agree that its a pain how much they have changed but remember it has been REMADE for and AMERICAN audience!!! Your complaints would be valid if it was being show like this in the UK!
Agree that it will be better to get the real version off the net - but i love any TG fix i can get!!
