Travelling on approved K1 Visa
I'll get straight to the point.
Visa approved, leaving the UK next month. Close friend recently has gotten in contact, would I be able to visit? He lives in Ireland if that makes any difference.
My apologies if this has been answered before, just desperate for an answer.

You mean from the US, I assume?
After arriving in the US using your K-1 visa, you are effective land-locked in the US until after your have married, filed for adjustment of status, and received advance parole. If you leave the US before your advance parole is received your K-1 will be voided and you would have to start over and apply for a CR-1 spouse visa.
Depending on exactly when you get married, from arrival on your K-1 to receiving advance parole, is likely to take 4-6 months.

No, didnt make it too clear. I'm still in the UK until May 9th. The plan is to fly over to see him before I depart for the US. I'm aware of being 'landlocked' upon arrival which is why I'm praying I'll be able to visit before I leave the UK.

You can travel where ever you like from the UK/ outside the US, why wouldn't it? .... That said, traveling to Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, or Iran before arriving in the US would probably be a mistake.

I was thinking there wouldn't be an issue but it never hurts to double check. I've made assumptions before and ballsed up.
