Travel to Cuba?
I am a dual citizen, UK and USA. What would happen if I drove to Canada to visit family, and then used my UK passport to fly to Cuba for a couple of weeks, then returned to Canada with UK passport. Then drove back home to the USA?
Would this work?

Re: Travel to Cuba?
Before things were eased, I think the advised route was via Mexico.
(No reporting of passengers to US and stamps on paper)

I don't think it has ever been illegal for Americans to travel to Cuba, what was illegal was spending money (in fact I think it is only money earned in the US that is restricted), you just need to pack a big bag of sandwiches.
Is there a risk, if one does not jump up and down about it? No credit card transactions etc.

Re: Travel to Cuba?
If you don't have Cuban family connections then about the only way for an ordinary working stiff American (someone who has no strongly political influence) to visit Cuba is to be invited by a Cuban organization (University, teaching hospital, scientific body or whatever) to come to hold academic, literary or research discussions or similar. The visit can be quite light on the "academic" part and heavy on the vacation part. This really only works for people who are either fluent in Spanish or have robust educational connections (work as a college professor or something). But people do it all the time.

You might want to read about the "Secure Flight" program. Your information can be collected by US authorities even if your flight is just travelling over the US (e.g. a flight between Cuba and Canada). Also think about how you would deal with an emergency landing in the US!

What information is collected by Secure Flight?
TSA collects the following information, known as Secure Flight Passenger Data (SFPD), for flights into, out of, within, and over the continental United States:
Full Name (as it appears on the government-issued identification [ID] the passenger plans to use when traveling)
Date of birth
Gender
Redress Number (if applicable)
