Towns to live – NJ/Philly,

Hi All,

Relocating to USA (green card) .

My office is in Springfield Philadelphia and family / friends are based in Princeton NJ.

So looking for advice on 3 points –

•Where taxes, average lifestyle is cheaper - living in NJ or Philly?
•Can you please advice couple of good towns to live in between Springfield and Princeton ( area with good schools , commute time less than 40 minutes to Springfield)
•Where is nicer to live in Philly or NJ.

Thanks

Re: Towns to live – NJ/Philly,

With friends and family living in Princeton, NJ, I have to ask what they have recommended to you? In either state you are going to be paying federal and state taxes. And in some rare cities, a city annual tax on top of the state tax. The main tax difference would be real property taxes if you buy property.

Also check out what it might mean to you tax wise if you live in NJ but actually work in PA. Be sure that you won't be hit up for taxes in both states. Personally, I don't know if this would be the case but always good to check it out first.
