Tower Records Liquidation starts tomorrow
Tower Records goes into liquidation, starting October 7th
I don't know how good the liquidation deals will be initially, but for those of you who like buying music, there's sure to be some good deals.
Sad day for Tower Records though.

Well if the music industry didnt have such high expectations of $$$ then they could adapt to the modern world. I wouldnt be suprised to see more labels going under.

Sad, but no surprise really. When you can get an album for $2 on allofmp3.com, or for nowt (if you're that way inclined) on P2P, who is going to spend $15 - $20 for a cd these days. DVDs can be bought cheaper on Amazon too, so the time for stores like these seems to be over.
I fear HMV will be going the same way within the next year or two. When I was last in the UK for a visit (couple of years ago), went in there to buy a chart CD: £18!!! (And it wasn't anything fancy, like a double album).
I didn't buy it.
