We've got about 2-3 waves of storms coming thru too. Already have 3 tornado warnings for counties west of us..coming straight for us. But I sure as hell ain't staying up waiting; I'm going to bed and let the hubby stay up and watch the weather!

Let me add that I'll probably go to bed fully clothed in case a dive down into the basement is required.

I think we're getting the heaviest amount of snow that we've had since I've been here. It's really coming down on us. I know it's nothing compared to what our friends in the Mountains get.

I went out and fired up the snowblower, this morning, for the 1st time in 3 years. It started 1st go....thank goodness!

I'm letting Mrs. Express use my 4x4 Chevvy S-10 so as she can get to work without any problems.

I feel really sorry for those in the path of Tornados. That's really scary!

Jim.

CNN is saying there is a tornado moving on downtown Nashville. Kind of odd for this time of year.

Won't be the first one to hit Nashville. One went through about 8 years ago, causing massive damage.

If you're in the path just remember that while it may seem unlikely - you CAN be hit by one! I was in '99.

My apartment complex (torn down afterwards) is pictured here:

Just listen for the sirens and for goodness sake take cover if one is coming.

That one was very beneficial in many respects to the area I now live in

It messed up a lot of houses in the ghetto (east nashville) that owners had no insurance on - even 5 years ago the place was still a scary shithole and some places still are

banks foreclosed since owners couldn't afford to rebuild and artists/gays/musicians moved in

i live in the area in a 1910 victorian that was a crack house 8 years ago

heres the link
