I thought I saw somebody gave a link on world ranking of top universities in the world ,trying to look for it, can anyone help?

With no source given for the ranking on that link, I'd take that list with a pinch of salt.

Unless you were looking for an anonymous Chinese ranking of the world's top universities, in which case that'll be just the ticket.

I take it all back.

It's the OFFICIAL list from the Institute of Higher Education, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, All Rights Reserved.... so it must be the definitive list!

Note that Shanghai Jiao Tong University does not feature in the list.

Personally, I'd rather trust the Times Higher Education Supplement World Rankings

So you say, but if your University doesn't sell big bumper stickers and have a first-rate American Football team, how can you expect to get an education there?

How, for that matter, can those damed Euro-types claim to have received a real education when they didn't pay $$$ for it?

Thanks for the reply, aside from the above lists, I am sure there is another list that somebody posted, that is the one I am looking for.

a lot will depend on what kind of course your looking at, one place might be overall best, but be completely crap at certain areas....look at the RCA...top if you want pretty product design, but crap if you want to learn how to make the rubbish work etc.
