Which SC cities do you think should've made this list?

Imagine- not one single AL town either...what's up with that??
Not to worry IP, Pennsylvania had one single entry, Bethlehem PA came in at #88 and neither Pittsburgh nor Philadelphia made the best city lists.
Maybe its because our respective home states are shite compare to everywhere else?

Have only one experience of Alabama and that was at a gas station in 2004. I bought a six pack of beer and showed my passport for ID. At which point the gas station clerk called over his entire family who also worked there to come have a look at a passport. They'd never seen one before, bless 'em.

When I went back to Texas for a holiday, I took a friend with me, we stopped at a petrol station just outside of DFW, we bought some stuff & the clerk was really interested in why we talked funny, where we were from etc. She asked if we would talk to her friend on the phone, we said okay & she called her right then & had us chatting with her, it was very weird. Anyway we went to use the loo & when we came back to give her the key, her friend had driven from where ever she was to come & see us!!! It was very strange & even stranger for my friend who had never left England before.

Probably just shoked, and wanted to see what a real, live LEGAL immigrant looks like.

Well, this is splitting hairs, but I was not an immigrant at the time, I was just on holiday, however, what shocked me is that she worked at a petrol station right outside of Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, I would expect that she encountered Brits everyday, but I guess not!

Very good description

It hasn't changed at all. We were there last week.

The one thing I have noticed is the increase in crime there now. If you listen to the local news it seems more and more that Fort Bend County and in particular Sugarland are mentioned. Of course the main story is the horrific murder of the 16year old girl last week. Here's a link:

I'm impressed, Portland ME came in 89th place as the only entry, especially as it got voted 3rd best city to walk around last month *l*

MA didn't make the cut either by look of things...

Taxes too high, coupled with too many drunk drivers (most named Kennedy) on the roads. Plus, there is that annoying nasel accent.

ive been to sugar land and cary. i think cary was the nicer of the two, but a lot of construction is going on there. sugar land was just acres of subdivisions that all look the same, and on every road theres a walmart, super target, best buy. the american dream nowadays is having a super target within 5 minutes of your house.
