I've already got all of Porridge on DVD, so it was nice to see an episode of it's follow-up show Going Straight on there. Thanks for the link!!

There were 3 series of Porridge , and 2 Xmas specials. There was only one series of Going Straight. There may have been more, but the death of Richard Beckinsale in March 1979 put a stop to that. Although the one of the last things he did was the film version of Porridge .

There was also the pilot episode called "Prisoner and Escort"... which was part of a 1973 series Barker starred in called Seven of One. Each of the seven 30-minute episodes of this series saw Barker playing a different character in a different situation. This episode is contained on the DVD for series 3 I think.

It's on the series 2 DVD, would've made more sense to put it on the series 1 DVD, but there you go.
