Re: TLC - 90 Day Fiancé
Seems that, like most 'reality' shows, they selected only situations with issues. Or they only point out the issues that are problematic and ignore aspects of the relationship that point to success.
Going for drama, whether real or created.

Oh boy, I can't wait to see how they'll butcher the facts...
So far, just in the write-up:
The K-1 visa is not meant to "visit" the USA.
No. People who apply for the K-1 visa must already have a marriage committment. The K-1 is not meant for a couple to decide whether they want to marry or not.
No. The couple must marry before the I-94 date expires (which is 90 days from entry using the K-1 visa). The actual K-1 visa expiration date is 6 months from the date the medical was done...and that expiration date becomes meaningless once the K-1 holder is in the USA.

So far, just in the write-up:
boy & girl meet, boy & girl fall in love, girl gets special visa to visit the United States...
boy & girl only have 90 days to decide the rest of their lives: get married or go back home.
The couples must marry before their visas expire in 90 days...

As a Phoenix resident, I am intrigued who Len the "most eligible bachelor in Scottsdale" is (other than a half wit).

ROFL! If only I was still in the US, I'd watch it just for the comedic factor.
In reality, I could really b!tch slap the couples. Starting life in a new country, not to mention solidifying their relationship and overcoming those cultural differences is hard enough, without having every damn moment being shown on national tv. IMHO, they ain't start (potential) married life off on the right foot.

Re: TLC - 90 Day Fiancé
The name '90-day fiancé' seems to imply use of the VWP, rather than the K1, doesn't it
Aren't those reality shows all scripted? We watch some for a laugh and they all seem like bad actors to me
