TIVO - What speed do you ffwd on?
 

Ok, we all love our tivo but what about the skill lies in on whizzing through the ads at the fastest speed and pressing play in time for that jump back to position itself at the exact moment the programme starts back on?

Hubby is on 2 arrows, I'm all the way up there at three. My dextrous digits give him 'remote control envy'. Yep, I flick those buttons better than my man! :D

I'm a double guy myself - have the timing down perfect. Three is just too extreme, man!

Got the Dish DVR here.. I use the "skip" button, just in case the Budweiser Magic Fridge ad comes on, I can stop it quickly and watch :D

I start at three then drop down to two after a couple of seconds. If it's a channel with lots of adverts, I'll keep it at three for maybe five seconds.

Got the replay box here.

1. Most of time it autoskips adverts :beer:
2. When it doesn't, I press skip 6 times (30 sec advance)
3. For longer durations, I can press 10-skip, it skips 10 mins or 5-back and go back 5 mins.
4. For most UK Nova downloads of British TV, the nice people remove all the ads first most of the time :)

I think Dish has something similar.
