Our HSA HD plan continues to be free for us, along with free dental and vision. Deductible has gone up from $2.6k to $3k, which is still reasonable. Employer puts $1k a year in the HSA.

I know, is crazy good. Previous employer insurance was around $550 a month with a much bigger deductible.
This company also has a generous 401k match where every dollar is matched with 50c, so $18k becomes $27k. It’s important to look at more than just the straight salary offer when considering a new job!

$500/mo for wife and I, both mid-late twenties, for a HD plan (HSA compatible) with a $6k/$12k deductible. Both in good health, no pre-existing conditions, etc.
We were expecting to pay a lot, but I feel like this is quite steep. Then again, $6k/yr for peace of mind, plus the added tax benefits of the HSA, maybe I'm being harsh?

We figure we’ll likely earn over the poverty threshold so aren’t eligible for tax credits to assist...
