You say you like it just the way it was. I read elsewhere that you left England in 1965, lived in Canada for twenty years, and have lived in the US since.. So you've lived in the US for twenty five plus years. So you now have Medicare, or soon will have Medicare? So it's OK for you to suck at the teat of a nanny state single payer system, but you want to deny health coverage to people younger or less fortunate than you??

Just like the typical libertarian conservative... "I got mine; to hell with you."

At this point I feel inclined to point out that FloridaGeordie posted about being from Gateshead in another post. A small, but crucial difference.
Especially when I am from Newcastle!

Both places are in England, though, no? (My ancestors were from South Shields, though I never lived there.)

Yes... I cannot afford private insurance its way too expensive, and not all companies here in Florida provide health benefits. I was lucky enough to find a free clinic but they do not provide everything either, just the basics... I would hate to get really sick or injured here, it would cost me my home and probably more!
