A thread about constipation

OK I may as well come right out with it...I suffer from constipation. Have always been that way...so does my mum and my sister. Anyway the gastro doc talked me into a new medication...one tablet twice a day. Just picked it up from the pharmacy...cost to me for 1 months supply $18 because we have meds insurance. Cost of 1 months supply without meds insurance...almost $300!!!!

My old meds have just come off prescription...I can now buy a month's supply from Costco for $16.

How can you justify spending $300 per month to take a s***?:curse:

$300 a month = $10 a day (roughly).

On $10 a day you could have a couple of cans of Guinness (bought in bulk, obviously), spice-up a Pot-Noodle or two with chili powder/cayenne pepper and still have change for the wet wipes, that'll sort you out.

Don't thank me now :D

Middle Eastern Lentil soup

Fry some chopped onions till soft and beginning to colour, add green lentils + chicken stock; simmer till tender.

In a frying pan, fry lots of minced garlic in butter until soft but not brown, add some cumin and fry for a further 30 seconds. Add this to the soup.

Now add some lemon juice and lots of chopped fresh coriander (cilantro). Adjust seasoning (including some cayenne pepper to give it a little 'bite').

:)

The frying pan won't fit in the microwave...well it will but the handle stops it from going round.
