Even though your earning money in another country and getting taxed there? So if I become a citizen and have dual US/UK citizenship and move back to the UK to live and work I still have to pay taxes? And declare my earnings?

If for any reason your UK taxes are lower than in the US, you still don't have to pay unless you make more than $90,000 per year.
(And if you do make more than $90,000, it's most likely that your UK taxes are higher than your US taxes, so therefore, again, you won't have to pay).
I have heard of people who do owe money in the States when living and working in the UK, but I don't know how or why.
But regardless of whether you have to actually pay anything, you do have to file taxes every year for the rest of your life. And possibly state taxes too, although rules vary on that depending on the state.

You have to file a tax return and it's not as onerous as SallyS wants you to believe.

I am now back in the States after a wonderful fortnight in the UK.
We flew into Birmingham and was greeted my a nice cool drizzly morning which felt great after suffering through high 90s temps in SC. We spent a couple of days with my parents who now live in Bromsgrove before heading for a week in the picturesque Nothumberland and the Scottish borders. We spent time visiting castles and wondering through the beautiful countryside, and had a wonderful time. We then returned to Bromsgrove and spent time with family again plus walking along part of the Worcester Birmingham Canal and enjoying the views from the Clen Hills.
My OH warmed to the idea of us moving to the UK so hopefully we can start making plans probably will do the US citizen thing first to get that out of the way.
