Ulsterman in Texas is an unknown quantity at this point
Default things you don't miss about "Old Blighty"

I was thinking last night as I took a short walk around my naighbourhood last night that on a holiday back home the streets would have been heaving with teenagers drunk and high out of there scull. That is definatly something I don't miss about home.

Is there anything about the UK you don't miss?

It would be quicker to answer the question what do you miss about home. Apart from the obvious friends and family, I can honestly say nothing.

They would be public school boys, probably celebrating after a successful regatta.

Bugger! Yeah, a kebab with decent chilli. I'm right there with you! The first thing I plan to do when I go back is buy the biggest doner I can find and make up for lost time.

I don't miss mass surveillance of the population via CCTV.

I liked the omnipresent CCTV in central London. Inside the "ring of plastic" after the '92 and '93 bombs, street crime was virtually eliminated from the City, at absolutely zero cost or inconvenience to any of the law-abiding public. What's not to like about that?

I'd argue CCTV has absolutely zero effect on dissuading a crime from being committed, it just potentially increases the chances that an offender will be caught.

There's not much happening at all here (Calabasas). The kids get 'drunk and high out of there scull' at parties and the town closes down about 9.30.
