I've been trying to think what I regretted not bringing with me when I moved to the US:
* M&S socks, underwear, sleepwear and suchlike.
* Swarfega
* Fry's Turkish Delight

I have always loved my m&s undies. This last visit though?? no better than trashy victoria secret. I guess you're a guy though..
I did see some underpants that were exactly what my son last chose in some nice patterns. So I took a photo of the rather well-endowed mannequin ( a male in case you're wondering about my DS's choice of underwear) . I messaged the photo to DS and asked him if he'd like me to buy him some. He replied that he's a grown up now and doesn't want his mum buying his underwear... oh dear, he's only been gone a few months...

I've found in my experience things are a lot cheaper in the US compared to the UK

Kids Croc style shoes are way cheaper in the UK and doughnuts. Kids clothes in general. Earlier this year bought set of kids minion pyjamas £2.99 in the UK, $10+ in Costco

When I was recently in FL with the family, we wanted to go for a spur of the moment barbecue down by the river. I looked everywhere for a disposable BBQ, they are EVERYWHERE in UK over the summer but nowhere in Florida. Ended up buying a cheap BBQ and charcoal in Walmart. I would find them really useful in Florida - has anyone seen them anywhere?

We also used the Blue Apron service ( ingredients delivered to your door to make dinners) and I brought the recipes back to UK. Spent an age in the Morrisons salad aisle look for Arugula before googling it and finding its Rocket here! 😊

Hi Jamel, I'm no expert but I've been to the states quite a number of times and in my opinion a lot of the common tablets like pain killers, cold and flu remedies and anti inflammatory drugs are quite cheap.
It might be different in a big city like New York, but I doubt it.
Plus things like ibuprofen etc can be bought in bulk, like 750 tablets at a time, unlike here in the UK where you're only allowed 2 small boxes per visit.
Hope this helps 😊

No idea if the O/P likes to cook or bake, but if he or she wants to use favourite recipes from the UK, it would be a good idea to bring a UK imperial & metric weighing scale to weigh flour, sugar etc.
A basic plastic weighing scale can be bought anywhere, large supermarkets, Argos, hardware shops. I use mine a lot as I still use my Delia Smith's and M&S cookery books....I have loads of others (British and American) but refer to my favourite British recipes all the time.
In the US all the ingredients are measured in cup sizes and not by weight!
Come to think of it, if you step on weighing scales to check your weight it is all done in pounds in the US...if you prefer to weigh yourself in kilos or stones then also bring a British weighing scale
