I got my fingerprints done in Newark Nov 9. THey were sent to VSC on Nov 20. I have my AOS interview next week. The nice FBI person said it takes VSC a couple of weeks to upload the fingerprints.

Is there still a CIA backlog? Assuming the interview goes well, can I expect my passport to be stamped?

Apparently there is still a backlog. Earlier this year a couple of INS offices
suddenly started requiring the CIA check to complete before granting permanent
residence. Reports of this have now ceased so perhaps they were told to adhere to the
memo telling the offices they could proceed without it (if the CIA check comes back
with problems they can take away your GC anyway). Sounds like you are in as good a
situation as anyone so hopefully you'll get the stamp.

My husband got his fingerprints taken on Sep. 5th in CA and our interview was Sep.
7th. The FBI said the prints were given back to INS the same day! But at the
interview the officer told us they weren't in the computer yet. We were "approved"
pending the clearing of his FBI check, but received no stamp or anything. They said
we'd get a notice in the mail telling us to go down for the stamp. It's now been 3
mo. and we've heard nothing! We're starting to worry. They said it could take up to 4
mo., but we're still worried. Any advice?
