I quite like Thanksgiving. Just the American version of a Harvest Festival I guess.
My husband has had the deep fried turkey and swears to me its absolutely delicious, probably is, I mean fried chicken is pretty yummy.
The only gross thing is sweet potatoes with marshmallows..urgh..like they aren't sweet enough so you need to add marshmallows
Green bean cassorole is pretty nice though

I don't celebrate the killing of native Americans.

Weather permitting, we're off to Montreal and Quebec for Thanksgiving. Christmas is the time for turkey and all the trimmings in this house not Thanksgiving.

Oh guald yeah, I'd forgottten about those candied yam things, bleugh they're disgusting.

We're invited to the in-laws for Thanksgiving, and then on the saturday after my BIL gets married, which my all accounts will be the wedding of the century. But my daughter is gonna be a bridesmaid.

I took to Thanksgiving like a turkey to ....well, you get the drift.

It is an amazing holiday. But then again, I've been here for nearly a decade.

Best thing about Thanksgiving is time off, worst thing about Thanksgiving having to eat the awful dinner where everyone brings a dish of something that doesn't go with the next dish even though everyone discussed what they were bringing to make sure they would coordinate.

Wherever we go, I'll be taking roast potatoes as my contribution.

I can't believe they eat roast dinners (OK, turkey) without roast potatoes in this country!!
