TGI Fridays
I went to TGI's with my family on Wednesday night as it was my birthday (no expense spared by Mr Lake on a such an important night )
Thank God we didn't get a booth this time, every single one of then had it's own private portable TV! It's been a while since I was last there but, WTF!! If I wanted to watch TV whilst I was eating, I could stay at home for that. Seems that the notion of actually talking to one another whilst you're dining out is a thing of the past. The worst part of it was, my kids spent the entire time staring across the aisle longingly at the other TV's, asking if we could move.

I sometimes wonder how the chef's cope having to take all that stuff out of the freezer and throw it into the deep fat fryer / oven.
Horrible, horrible stuff.

I was watching Mythbusters recently, and the 5 second rule was totally busted. It didn't matter whether the food was on the floor for only 2 secs or 6 secs, the food samples grew equal amounts of bacteria in a petri dish. They found though that a dry cracker will pick up less than something more 'mushy'. So it's more to do with the type of food, than the time on the floor.
