When you hire a car in the UK can you use your Texas Driving License?

I use my NJ license when I rent a car in the UK.

Yes, the UK DL is out of date and has the wrong address.... Only problem is they keep giving me automatics without me asking!

I heard that you could drive only automatics not manual. I have a British drivers licence. The old pink paper one . I dont know if i was still allowed to use it as not residant there.

You should use your US license...well that's what Hertz told me when I offered both. No you can hire either type.
