crisps.... biscuits.... sweets....

Not that I'm anywhere near you, but these are what most would want. I can sometimes find certain biscuits in stores, but never crisps and most sweets.

Thanks, I am in Delaware County, I used to work in Cherry Hill, I can get there quicker than the ones in PA. I used to make it in twenty five minutes of white knuckle driving.

Yeah, they're great too!

Which reminds me, when I was at secondary school, my family was quite poor, so I had to find other ways to make money for sweets etc. My granddad would come round every so often & give us a pound each & I had a great idea. I took the pound & bought loads of lollies (5p each) & then sold them to the other kids at school for 20p (sometimes more if someone wanted my last one), making my self a nice little profit & then it just built on from there, so I always had some money (& lollies)!

I soon moved onto the cigarettes, I'd buy a pack of 10 & sell them off for about 50p each, which was easy as most of the kids at school didn't look old enough to buy them, but I always looked a lot older. So basically, the other kids paid for my sweets & ciggies! Ah those were the days!

People here are shocked when I tell them that you can get packs of - 10, 12, 16, 20 & 24's in England. In Aussie you can get packs of 40!

Another story for you - I went to Texas with a British mate who had never been out of England before, while there she went to buy some ciggies at a petrol station & asked for 20 Marlboro lights, the shopkeeper told her she'd be better off buying a carton as it would be cheaper. Luckily I was stood close by, so I jumped in to explain she meant 1 pack!

Ha ha ha bonk!

I had the same thing happen to me. I remember being all excited to buy a "soft pack". Then realized that, as I only smoke about 3 a month, they just got squished.

not sure what choc tea cakes are (but they sound del) but being almost 2 mths out of date, i'd call the shop to inform them and see if it's ok to return them next time you go shopping there (they are so polite here about that kinda thing they'll prob tell you to bin them and bring in the purchase receipt)...oh and get the persons name you speak to..lol

That's one thing about that place, you have to check the dates on things. Last time I was in there, I saw quite a few things (especially crisps) that had expired already!
