Default Temporary Medical Insurance (in USA)

Hi all! Hope you guys can help with a wee insurance query -

I moved to the USA for work almost a month ago and the travel / emigration insurance policy I have been using temporarily is going to expire next week. I am eligible for a decent benefits package through my work, but unfortunately the paperwork is taking longer than expected to get sorted out and I am now looking at options for temporary medical insurance to tide me over for a few weeks.

Can you guys recommend anyone I should look into? I can't extend my current policy because I've left the UK, but also don't have an SSN yet. I'm signed up with the TravelGuard folk through International AutoSource (haven't got any policies with them yet though), so I'll also be approaching them to see if they have any options for me.

Thanks!

Usually the coverage can be started with an "as of" date even if the paperwork is in process, especially with a company policy. Is HR sure that can't be arranged for you?

Yeah, they're being really helpful and working on sorting it out for me, but I just want to cover my ass if they can't work this out in time

I would take a look on ehealth.com and see what you can find.
