Temp US Drivers Licence?
 

Is it possible for me to get a temporary drivers licence while I am applying for AOS? (see my thread here - http://britishexpats.com/forum/showt...11#post7353011)

Quite possibly not ...

I don't know which state you are in and, of course, every state is different - but most if not all of them require proof of "lawful presence" in the US - so the problem will be to find a piece of official looking paper that your local DMV will accept as proof of that.

You'll need to look up your State DMV requirements and see what you have that fits. Since you have an F-1, you may be able to get a DL now with that evidence.
If not, when you get your EAD/work permit from the AOS application, you can use that as proof of status.

Not absolutely sure but, from his other thread, I think that the OP's F-1 and I-20 have both expired in which case he is probably out of luck until he gets the EAD.
