Probably whatever you can get. US phone / internet / TV is generally a localized monopoly. One company has the rights to the copper telephone wires, the other company has the rights to the coaxial cable. With the copper you can get the wires from the monopoly but the service from another provider, but with the cable it's extremely rare to have more than one option available.

Getting a phone in a Verizon area but then say using the ATT service over those lines is an adventure. Both sides will blame the other if something goes wrong.

Yup. We get the choice of 1 cable company, 1 phone company, 1 DSL company (phone company) and 2 satellite companies. The phone company sucks for phone and DSL, the cable company overcharges horribly and the satellite companies don't offer internet and have prices that are good for 12 months but have a 24 month contract.

No idea where Lake Mary is but just on the name I wouldn't bet on anything much better. The package you go with will depend completely on what features and channels you need.

What really sucks for us is that 2 miles down the road once you cross into the next city they have 2 cable options, FIOS, uverse and a bunch of DSL providers.

+1 for FiOS - the best service I've seen for TV, Internet and Phone... but only if it's available in your area.

Another supporter of Fios - get the lot through them... great service.

May not matter Bob, but I believe you can keep the copper lines if you explain you want to keep them up front.

Yet another vote for FIOS if it is available. Certainly better than Comcast for both Internet and TV.

If your Lake Mary is the one in Fl, then they might cover your area.

Keeping the copper would be nice...but I'd rather not stump for them to install it...if it was down, we'd get it as they offer the same package as we're getting from comcast and it's about $50 a month cheaper.

Well we could get a cheaper rate but would then be locked into a 2 year contract and we're trying to avoid something like that in case we have to scarper
