Taxes - Deducting Moving Expenses (Form 3903)
Has anyone successfully used Form 3903 to deduct moving expenses (We moved to the US from the UK in May) from their taxes?
If so was it straightforward? The instructions at https://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc455.html seem relatively straight forward.
Thanks

We claimed all our moving, but did it via our very helpful tax expert, we just handed him the paperwork! I will be claiming my airfare here as well
Sorry not much help, but yes you can do it!

Thanks. We're going to give it a go ourselves.

Re: Taxes - Deducting Moving Expenses (Form 3903)
So, I've begun filing our tax return and the process to claim a tax credit for our moving expenses are straight forward. However due to the fact that we've only been earning income in the US since August and other factors (child/day care tax credits) our tax refund is already at it's max without taking account of the moving costs.
So my question - is it possible to claim for our moving costs in our 2016 return when our tax paid will be high enough for the moving costs to equate to a refund.
Thanks
