only a window unit in the bedroom which is set to 74 and goes on for a couple of hours at night at the mo. Window unit in the living room which has seen some use recently. Other than that we just deal with the heat. A quick wander into the basement normally suffices.

Monthly leccy bill is in the $40-50 range (which is nice)

WTF is that all about?? Why not just save some energy and dollars, have the temp set higher and use less bedding?
Quite agree. Sleep naked on top of the bed with the ceiling fan over you keeping you cool. Works for us.

Yes I think most Brits (well me) didn't understand air/con as we broke ours in VA. As it doesn't matter how hot it is in the house if its below about 65 outside (I think it was) it will break.

Ours is set between 75 and 80. Yesterday morning we had condensation on the outside of our windows, that's never happened before But it is blinkin' hot.

We have that every morning!

I told OH about this thread last night and my mini 'poll' and he just 'humphed'

We're slowly meeting in the middle. I'd like it at 77/78. Him at 72/73. So we've settled on (for the majority of the time) between 74 & 76

yes, we have that most mornings and sometimes it stays all day depending on the humidity here but then that's summer in texas or at least houston
