If you and your partner really love your pet, you will stay within the spirit of the law and the policies and pay to have your pets shipped. it is a racket, but worth every penny.

If I am not mistaken, only the US airlines recongnise ESAs so I believe it would be almost impossible to fly out of the UK with your pet in the cabin. BA for example lists the accredited organisations that it will accept certification from.
ESAs are NOT assistance animals (e.g. a guide dog, PTSD dog, allergy dogs or sniffer/tracker dogs) and it's basically a scam that enables people to have a pet in housing where pets are not allowed and to fly their dog for free and stay in hotels free of charge. There is a huge backlash against it, and rightly so, said as a dog owner who would love to take her large dog everywhere free of charge. |

Does not apply to Hotels, unless you book through AirBnB, HUD is something different.
