Table tennis, ahem, Ping pong in the USA..

Hey fellow Brits

I used to always love playing table tennis at school and college, but haven't been able to play much for years. Soon though, I shall have a house, and I am already planning on what I shall have in my "games room", and obviously a table tennis table is a guaranteed starter.........

Just wondered, if there are any fellow fans here? I shall be tempted to join a club I am sure!!!! Any experts here? I used to consider myself a very good player, but after being beaten by a 13/14 yr old on a cruise, I have came back down to Earth.........

Also, I keep seeing these robots you can buy to practice with? Anyone ever seen one. I can not see much info on them online, so wondered how exactly they work........?

anyway, keep batting away...........

Never played seriously myself - just in school lunchtimes etc but couldn't you practice by just by putting half the table against a wall? Be a bit quicker than having an opponent but that would speed your reactions and be a lot cheaper than a robot.

I played from the age of 10 through to Uni Level then took a long break... started playing again here about 4months ago and I'm just getting back up to a decent skill level again.

cool game, very skill based.
