Superbowl Sunday
Needless to say I'm supporting the Panthers for the Superbowl.
Bit worried about them being the "underdogs" but so were Wimbledon so many years ago.
(ScousePete now uttering a few choice words)
Pity there isn't any expats living in New England here for me to taunt. (But why would you leave old England to move to a New one )
Anyway - GO PANTHERS !!
Latest odds: Panthers 7/4 and New England at 2/5

Can't wait for the game to start. Got my dip and chips and beer

New England for me Webster.........
Tom Brady is an Ex U of M qb.........
Must say though, Pathers have had a ****ing good season so far, see no reason why they can't win.

BTW- I'm invited to a Superbowl party at a friend's friend's house. I expect it'll be an interesting experience.

Remember the Patriots where the underdogs 2 years ago against the Rams and look what happened to them!
I am married to girl from Boston, the chances of me being allowed to support the team from the state I live in is extinct. Although our neighbors will have field day if the panthers win

Hey Webbie
I'm an expat in New England, but not really into the Superbowl. I follow hockey just because I play but I can't get into Football. But then again any excuse for a few beers is welcome, so I will join my neighbours for the afternoon.
Enjoy the game

I have my beer, chips and dips already for the big one Should be a real close game as both teams have great Defenses. If Carolina establishes the ground game with Davis and Foster, then they could be a good bet. My friend put $20 dollars down about 2 months before the season started on the Patriots at 12/1 in Vegas. Its only going to pay out $220, but it's closer to winning than the $20 I put down on the skins! lol. Only problem is, I'm meeting up with him in Vegas a week after the super bowl and if the Patriots win on sunday, I'm never going to hear the last of it!.

Also, remember during the fantasy league(which I won ) when you complained about getting Carolina's defense in the draft and I told you not to worry as they were good. Not that it helped your team though
I wouldnt go dropping that D just yet Scrumpy. Julius Peppers was rookie of the year last year and they have a strong defensive minded coach in Fox. Might be wise to hold on to them.

Defense against defense - dont expect a high scoring game. I'll take the Pats by 14-7. Interestingly, in 2006 the superbowl will be in Detroit - indoors I hope.
