According to this 'In the US, owners of private roads can register whatever name they choose with the local authorities. '

Aye, they can, but the road name still has to be approved by the locals, so if they don't like it, it'll get binned...a lot of streets in maine are names like this because well, there just random numbers at the moment and it's a mare on the emergency services, so people have to give there streets names...

There's a Crotch creak after someones' name, don't know why they'd use it though
And a Heineken that meets Coors Lane

I might for for "Copper Lot"

Or you could have "Why did the chicken cross the Road"

A village near where I used to live in the UK has a road called Featherbed Lane. I love that.

We had 2 roads, one called 'First turn' & the other was 'Second turn'. Can you imagine giving someone directions from the other way - "You take your first left, which is 'Second turn', but it's before 'First turn', so if you get to 'First turn', you'll know you've gone too far."

There's a Slippery Lane somewhere near Robin Hood's Bay. Maybe that's where the Stairway to Heaven is.
