Is it still free drinks on BA flights to U.S?
I can't seem to find out of their site? I flew with them in 99 and it was?

Yes it is though i think theyre smaller than they used to be and theres less of a selection

Providing i can get a few beers free off them I will be happy enough after all they had the nerve to charge 28 quid to book a seat online

You can go up to the back galley area and ask for some more if the trolley isn't coming round often enough. Better walk straight and steady though.

There's also a "tuckbox" in the galley in the middle of the flight, so you can get more chocolate, crisps or biscuits. Juices and water are there too, but you can ask for anything.

I know that I am travelling to heathrow airport the day before and staying overnight and i haven't got one of those fancy i phones. I wanted an isle seat as well, i have that now but it is still cheeky to charge to 28 quid when Delta, United, American and Virgin don't charge

But BA don't charge for a checked bag....they give you a 50lb checked bag free.
Baggage charges are ridiculous now on so many airlines.
So..... as many drinks as you want, checked bag, it'll probably work out a lot cheaper, despite the 28 quid.

And other airlines charge for checked bag do they?. I know they all give an allowance of I think 28 or 30 kilos isn't it? and if you roll you with 5 or 6 large cases like you see families doing then you will obiviously pay my one case won't go over the weight allowance. My small case is actually slightly too large to be considered as a carry on bag like 2cm too large but not bothered about that i am happy to check the case in.
It's a pain to some that BA charges for a seat selection, but then they market free seat selection as a benefit to those who hold silver status (or above) as a way of encouraging loyalty. Does the hotel you're staying at have a computer in the lobby you could use to check in?
No need to aim low...

I think most airlines give you a free checked bag on a trans-Atlantic flight. BA's allowance depends on class of cabin and also elite status, so some are allowed to take 2 or even 3 bags.
