Default Steve & Barry's

Has anyone purchased apparel at this store? One opened not far from my house and all items (jeans/sweats/t-shirts, etc) are only $7.98 :scared:
While that is cheap as chips, will the garments fall apart after one wash?

Looks like they have a lot of Collegiate stuff also....

Cheers folks.

I'm wearing jeans from their store as we speak.
as you say, cheap as chips.

ok so they're not brand name stuff. but their gear does appear to stand up to the rigeurs of wear and tear just like any other garment would.

I agree - have a bullet proof pair of shorts and a few tees! at that money it doesnt really matter if they only last 6 months!

Went along the other night and while they have some decent gear, the fabrics used were pretty rank to the touch. I'll stick to Old Navy I think.

Did the store have a strange smell to it ??

The one near us does, like a disinfectant/mothball type smell. Puts me right off

I love that store - they're very cheap and have some decent stuff, and while the clothes won't fall apart after the first wash, don't expect to be wearing them more than 6-8 months!

It's to cover up the smell of the sweatshops.

The jeans I bought from there lasted for about a third as long as jeans I've bought everywhere else. However, the jacket I bought has worn fine.
