My wife and I would like to start the adoption process for my 11 year old stepson. His biological father has not seen my wife since she was 3 months pregnant.
Has anybody gone through this process, I am a PR and awaiting my citizenship, can I even do this until I am a citizenship, I am in Tennessee.

Yes I have. I adopted my stepson when he was 2 and a half here in the USA. He is now three and has a British passport and "certificate of registration as a British citizen" to boot. The whole adoption was painfree and actually took place quite quickly. I would love to help you do this. Feel free to PM me.
