Statewide Library Cards? MA Survey

MA is doing a survey into looking about getting a statewide card, which would be awesome, as the Minuteman Network is superb, much better than the CMars network for the metrowest area, especially for foreign movies and kids books.
So any other states have statewide cards, or just local access?

Ours are just local. In fact they're looking to restrict them more, as residents of some areas don't contribute as much tax to the city (or something).
Inter-library loans used to be free, which was one of the few ticks on the 'plus' column of living in the US. Have gone up to $2

We used to live in the minuteman network, which covered Boston, so had loads more museum passes and some of them were better than our current set as more places were free, rather than half off.
It was great for ebooks too as they were much quicker getting the new books in Boston

Yes I think so, it was to do with Hidden Hills not paying its way.

I had to join in the town I have residence in, but I am able to use the card in any library in the state, so far as I am aware. At least, no one has stopped me yet.

I can use mine in only 3 or 4 of my local libraries..all within my county.
Don't know if I can register at any of my other state libraries.

Aye, bit like that here, register in town of residence, then get to use the network of libraries that local belong to, which seems county wide, ish, as we're still in the same county as the last place, just different library network.

We seem to have a hybrid system here. It isn't State wide but several of the local counties joined together, and a card issued by one covers the libraries in all of them. Plus if a book you want is in a library in another county they will send it to your local library for collection.
