Please take the caps off your future postings. It is preceived as "shouting" and we heard you loud and clear.

The answer to your question is not simple to answer in that the timeframe depends on the US Service Center you will be filing the I-130 with. We have an US/UK couple in just your situation and they are still waiting to hear from the service center 6 months later with no end in sight.

All in all, figure on at least one year if you are a US citizen.

I had it confirmed to me yesterday that yes, Dallas was taking up to a year to do
their's. The nice lady at INS did say that the K visas will make life easier.
Trouble is those were supposed to be in place by May and the latest scuttlebutt on
that is August. 'Course the thing on that is you still have to get THAT one
processed and wonder how long that would be?
