Sports Personality

Its Time to vote, this year is a toughy. I think its between 3 people

Frank Lampard jr - winning the Premiership
Andrew Flintoff - winning the Ashes
Steven Gerard - winning the European Championship

which also makes the team of the year an even tougher category. Chelsea, England or Liverpool.

The last cricketer to win was Ian Botham in 1981.

Think it will be a cricketing year this year.
Ashes and all that.
They even released a stamp commemorating it.

Freddy deserves it; especially after his very sportsman like behaviour in the 2nd(?) test when his first thought was to console Brett Lee. And the fact that his team mates wrote tw@t on his drunken forehead and the press got a photo.

I wonder if it will go to George Best?

Perhaps they'll do a special posthumous award for him this year?

Flintoff for my vote, about time we won the ashes and its been a while since a cricket player won it...

Though if the votes were in the US, who do you reckon would win it over here?

Those guys are simply amazing. I have ridden up the Alps stage on two wheels (with a 600cc engine underneath) and seeing is believing!! I passed a number of cyclists who get perverse pleasure in ascending high altitude peaks for fun. I was out of breath on my motorbike! Having suffered a 40 mile ride for charity last year up and down the Lake District in England my eyes were opened as to the commitment and fitness level required!
