Default Southwest Airlines Credit

I bought some tickets with Southwest Airlines back in May 08 for a trip to Florida. Long story short, I had to cancel so I have a credit with Southwest. I'm not going to use that credit before it expires in May 09, so does anyone have any experience in selling such credit? Any pitfalls?

Thanks.

Is it even possible? My experience with airline credits in general (and admittedly not Southwest) was that they could only be used for tickets issued in your name. Did they provide any Ts&Cs when the credit was issued?

On some Delta credit I got a while back, I could allow someone else to use the credit, but I had to do the booking. It was for my wife so had minimal complications, but I was aware I couldn't just hand the credit slip to her.

No idea with Southwest.

I've had credit on SW Airlines before, and all we needed was the confirmation number of the original reservation. I could then transfer the funds to any new ticket I wanted to get, for anyone. I never tried to sell the ticket, but I know we could use the funds for someone else's travel....they just needed the original confirmation number.
