Default Sonny's Bar-B-Q

Anybody in the south tried this place. They were sponsoring a Champ Car team last week in Long Beach and I'd never heard of them.

I love it, my wife and kids rarely let me stop at one on trips between Atlanta and Florida. The usual moans and we end up at Cracker Barrel or darned Burger King..... But then again, I love Waffle House and fried egg and bacon sarnies

Freakin awsome. We are already making plans for next year. The access to teams and drivers is amazing. Legge the Brit girl who races in the series is kinda hot too! We also heard that a Phoenix street race may be on next years calender.

Seen a couple of branches in NC and never visited. The reason is that it's a chain (one strike against them) and likely to cook with gas (second strike against them). So, for those reasons, I choose not to eat there.

I'd rather eat in local, downhome barbecue joints that cook with wood (you won't find such places within city limits in NC) in truly off the beaten track locations.

Visited one in Gainesville, Fl and the food was pretty good. That was back in '93 though so it might have changed since then.
