Social Security numbers sent automatically?
Has anyone who's immigrated to the States automatically received their
social security numbers?
I ticked yes on the DS-230 to have a Social Security card sent
automatically which is supposed to avoid the need to go and apply
separately but not sure if they'll actually do anything about it or
whether its best to go into a SS office. Its been about 6 weeks since
i arrived now.

I too am waiting for a SS card to arrive automatically, having requested it on the DS-230. Have a piece of paper that says if it does not arrive within 3 weeks to call ... 1-800 772 1213. Give them a call ... will prob do the same.
