Hello everybody,

I once studied in the US (F1 visa) and then got a social security number with the
mention "valid for work with INS authorization".

My question is the following : Is this SS number still valid in case I come back to
the US with a F1 or K1 visa ?

I would appreciate any comments.

Many thanks.

Scott

Andy is an unknown quantity at this point
Default SS number

SS numbers are valid throughout as far as I am aware. I've been back on multiple visas for years and the same one is valid.
Plus, even if you get a new visa, it's still under the 'with authorization from INS' ruling printed on your card.
No problems
