Does anyone know if a person coming in on a L1 visa needs to apply for a social security number or it will be issued with visa?

I don't think SSNs are ever issued automatically (it certainly wouldn't be provided
at the time the visa is granted). Go to the nearest social security office with the
proper documentation and apply in person.

You'd have to go to a ss office and get one with your passport, and I-94. "pezeke"
