Was in Uptown, Chicago ... there was a good Jazz place place there, the Green Mill, just south of the Uptown Post Office.

... then moved to the luxurious and convenient Presidential Towers, downtown ... Tower 2 ... my apartment had a panoramic view of Sears Tower ... on 9/11/2001 I looked up at Sears from my apartment (after evacuating the CitiCorp building across the street where I worked, which looks like a huge glass covered cash-register and is built over part of Northwestern Train Station ... and wondered if the missing United Airlines plane would fly into it. I was working out how Sears would react, friends were ringing me to tell me I could kip at their place if things got too bad. Sears is still there, magnificent building. Watched it get hit by lightning so many times. Loved to fall asleep staring up at it.

Now I am in Nowhere Town (a small town, pretty, but small).

I'll be around the Arlington Heights, Schaumburg, Mount Prospect, Lombard, Chicago area (looking for an apartment as we speak!) from June 11th onwards.

Can't make the game or get to go for downtown bevvies after the game as I'll be back in England that week. Terrible timing on my part :(

I can't make the game or bevvies afterwards. Hubby heads off to Indy on that day, and I think our 3-year old's patience might wear a bit thin for a whole footie match. :)

We should get something else sorted out though. :)
