So it does snow in Texas.
I thought I'd woken up in another country this morning. In all likelihood it'll have disappeared by the afternoon though.
Luckily I got my last minute Valentine's Day shopping in last night before it arrived or else I'd have been in the bad books this morning. Thank goodness for 24hr shopping!

I got up and there is snow everywhere and it's still snowing.

Maybe I'll be wishing for snow in a few years, but right now I'd rather have the clear blue sky and 68 degree weather that I'm sitting on my patio in.

Does anyone besides me remember the "Great Texas Freeze Out of 1978" As I recall, most of north Texas was covered over in solid ice for about a week. Schools were closed all week, and almost no-one made it to work!

We got a lil bit of snow too ... hehehe .. it was -21F here last night, boy o boy does that electric blanket come in handy !

Nah, I didn't shovel it... it was melting as fast as it was falling so as the kids had walked up and down the path the snow there had melted already.
It's all gone today, lovely and sunny and we've just got back from the park where the kids played in their short sleeved t-shirts with no coats Gotta love this changeable Texas weather.

Snorkmaiden !!! we sent you all that loverly snow and all your kids could do was tramp around in it ? Whatever happened to making snowmen at the first sign of snow ?

The funny thing is all the snow has gone today apart from a few snowmen here and there.
Driving around the neighbourhood this afternoon the odd snowman was looking very sorry for himself as he melted in the lovely sunshine
