So Cal

Hi
I have been here in San Diego for 2 years and absolutely love it - ruined for anywhere else sigh! Though I do miss european countryside and villages and deserted roads.
The biggest thing has probably education for us - my children have had 3 countries and 3 languages in as many years and a Californian High School is my idea of hell - as is building a credit rating from scratch

I think that is what I am worrying about!!!

We lived in South east Turkey and rural Normandy - quite a change - but we love it here

Salut Sara et bienvenue!

Welcome to BE - I hope that you stick around. Whereabouts are you? Hopefully we are neighbours? I spend almost 3 months each year in SD. Brit fiance moved out there over 3 yrs ago for a perm job. 2 1/2 yrs ago we bought a condo in Carmel Valley/Del Mar, 17 miles north of downtown. We love it. .......I may move there permanently once my med course finishes.

Hi Sara & welcome!

I'm in south Orange County, so not too far away! I've been here 17 years!
