hehe sorry, its a tobacco product that men (mostly Southerners?) dip into and put in their mouths, and kinda... spit out 
but i've never seen anyone do that in England before. I wondered if it was even available anywhere.

I was going to rail against why it's so much worse for you, but now I see the deal... with the public smoking restrictions in the UK, this is a way for people to get their buzz.
Obviously haven't thought about some of the social aspects yet... (Spitoons, anyone?)
The smoking ban is now officially in place across the whole of Great Britain, so ever more people are looking for a nicotine substitute and the population of snuffers old and young is growing day by day.
