Default Small Town 4th of July Celebrations

I really got into the festivities this time. Anyway, here's a taste of how we do it in rural Colorado: 30 image slideshow

Looks like lots of fun. Love your photos!

We had a similar All-American small-town parade with local floats for Veteran's Day at the end of May. Lots of local businesses, fire trucks, EMT teams & all the local high school bands were well represented. Also several Native-American tribes had floats, which surprised me a little.

Nice pics. I had a smallish town experience last year (or was it the year before) in Forks, WA (the vampire town). It was nice to experience the difference, the parade was much more laid back and inclusive.

I agree. This is the only place that I've felt a part of the event. In a friendly atmosphere, it's easy to 'go native'

Thanks for the compliments - not expected but much appreciated.

Thumbs up Re: Small Town 4th of July Celebrations

In the Small Town where my Brother-In-Law lives, one local Farmer decided to bring his huge Tractor into Town, as part of the Parade.

Shullsburg, Wisconsin.
