SkyTV in the USA?
Can you get it in the USA? If not, how about their Sky Anywhere (Anytime?) service?
Does anyone have experience of using a UK Proxy to use iPlayer and so on?
Cheers!

You can't get it direct from the satellite as it's out of sight. Look up Slingbox if you can keep a box at a UK address (parents/friend etc).

Re: SkyTV in the USA?
We have Slingplayer at home on our UK TV and it is brilliant. We are fortunate in that we have a home in the UK that we have it running on, if the internet drops out at home we have to get our neighbour in to reboot!
I will look at the Expatshield website, sounds interesting!
In answer to OP, I don't think you can 'get' Sky over here and I so far have not had any success with Sky Anywhere etc even though I appear to have done all the registering with Sky etc.

Slingbox, but why?
Plenty of other routes that re more convenient...
TechTutorialChannel.com for easy way to stream iplayer and other bits and pieces, but I set up manually so I could get spotify and other things to work.
Expatshield works, but personally found it to be rather flakey and dying when I needed it most.
I don't bother streaming much UK tv live anyway, otherwise a proper paid VPN would be worth getting, just for the bandwidth. There are loads of threads recommending them.
http://www.myp2p.eu works well for most sporting events.

Re: SkyTV in the USA?
I think they mentioned spring time, but who knows...they have more info on their FB page, so could probably find a answer there.
If you want to get a UK proxy working now and rather not pay, then you can go down the TOR Proxy route, the software I linked above is for the PC version and preset, but if you follow the links you can get the Mac versions and manually set it up.

AFAIK ibVPN uses generic VPN technology. Perhaps the mac has built-in networking that will achieve it?
You can sign up for a free trial of ibVPN and just try it to see if you can find settings that work.
