"The son of the former Prime Minister Baroness Thatcher had hoped to be reunited with his family in Texas. But he said on Sunday: "I shall make the family home in Europe, not the UK"
What's the matter Mark, don't feel welcome there either? GOOD.

I always thought he was a waste of time. Can't say I am shedding any tears over that decision.

They were probably worried about him hatching a plot to overthrow the current "regime" in Washington.....not that that would be a bad thing!

Didn't say why it had been rejected though....would be interesting to see why, because funding a coup surely isn't a CIMT??? *lol*

I also read a claim that his visa application would not have been helped by his business record in America when he lived there in the Eighties. He reached an out-of-court settlement with a former business partner who accused him of money laundering, perjury and theft. He was also investigated by the US tax authorities over his alleged role in a home alarms firm that went bankrupt.
Whatever the exact reasons for denial are - I'm just glad to see that the US authorities do not make exceptions for certain people!

its very probable that he was denied entry into the US previously. why else would he need to apply for a US visa. Isn' he married to an american. could be that he was applying for an immigrant visa.
