Okay, maybe Sir E isn't the best example of 'normal'...
Why are people biggots because they believe this sort of thing is wrong and or abnormal? Why is it normal? Whats normal anyway. After all if that thing is normal God help us all.

Funnily enough, CNN showed a few interviews with British "commoners" on the news tonight. One backhanded compliment came from a woman who said she thought he had every right to get married to the person he loves, in fact just as much right as a "normal" person .....

God bless 'im...he's a national institution. It was better than a Royal Wedding anyday and quite amusing that it was held in Windsor! I thought this card was hilarious:

Caption : "I thought I was the only Queen in the Village!"

Finally we have the same rights. I'm so tired of hearing the whining about how it's not right etc. Who cares....we're now legal so get over it. It's a beautiful thing. Some of those people have been together 11, 17, 23 years with no legal protection at all, and now they can realize a dream. It's not hurting anyone else so I can only presume the opposition is down to prejudice. I will definitely be looking in to how my partner and I can apply for this from the USA so we can deal with immigration at Heathrow more effectively every time we visit. I'm sick of us being separated at the checkpoint each time we go through.

Does it really matter what these affectionate people do— so long as they don’t do it in the streets and frighten the horses!

You've missed my point why are people who don't agree with someone else lifestyle choice a biggot? I don't mean people who abuse/threaten etc I don't like the idea but it didn't stop me from giving Rockgurl some information about her nurse agency problem that I hoped helped her and led to her being with her partner I don't know if it did help. I still don't like her lifestyle choice and I don't think it's right but isn't that MY choice?

BTW the thing I meant was Elton John if he is normal then were all doomed

You just don't get it, do you?

We are not talking about a lifestyle choice.

This is how some people are. It is how they were made. To them it is a natural expression of who they are.

Ergo it is normal.

Your right I don't get it.

so you mean it's down to the old nurture/nature debate.

So I can't have my opinion without being a biggot?

So were now in a world where only one opinion is allowed. Doesn't that make you a biggot? I like a good intelligent debate but I wont get it from you and I'm sure you're a nice person too.

because there is nothing to debate.

you cannot argue that someone is not normal because they are black, or were born with a hole in the heart, or anything else that an individual cannot change.

ditto being gay.
